About the event

This webinar is designed for those who need guidance on child custody issues in California, including mediation and subsequent court proceedings.

During the session, we will cover in detail:

  • How court-ordered custody mediation works

  • Common questions that arise and how to present your position effectively

  • How to prepare for court-ordered custody mediation

  • What happens if an agreement is reached between parents

  • Steps to take if an agreement cannot be reached

Special attention will be given to post-mediation hearings: how the court makes custody decisions, the role of the minor’s counsel (child’s attorney), when they are appointed, and whose interests they represent.

Webinar goal: To provide participants with a clear understanding of the process, reduce anxiety before mediation, and help prepare for potential court proceedings. Each participant will have the opportunity to ask questions.
